Go Green
With Natural Home
Cooling…
Hi Friends,
We would like to share
with you on a great way to cool your house this summer.
For millennia, man harnessed
natural ventilation to keep his dwellings cool. The contemporary house
ignores this idea, relying instead on creating a sealed and (expensively)
conditioned environment. Whole house fans use modern technology to bring
the ancient wisdom of natural ventilation to your home. With all of us increasingly
concerned about reducing our environmental footprint, it just makes sense
to harness the cool air that Mother Nature has to offer, rather than
expensively manufacturing your own. A whole house fan uses a fraction of
the energy required for A/C while improving the livability of a home with
fresh, natural breezes that are a joy to sleep in.
How it works:
As the temperature
outside rises during the day, heat is captured
in enclosed spaces and in the actual
materials of your house. So in the evening, when
the outside air cools down, your house is still radiating heat. That ‘s
why it’s hotter inside than it is outside-just when you want to have
dinner, relax and go to sleep. Running on high, a whole house fan will
quickly replace hot air in your home with fresh, cool, outside air.
Switched to low, its ultra-quiet operation allows you to leave it on all
night and through the cool part of the morning, so you can enjoy cool
comfort while drawing heat out of the building itself, pre-cooling it for
the next day. You should never run your whole house fan without first
opening your windows to feed the whole house fan’s need for airflow.
